Restore the Orrery

You attempt to return pieces of the unlit star to their appropriate place within the Orrery of Light. Doing so requires a skill check against DC 18. You can attempt a DC 18 Athletics check to force a piece back into an appropriate place; a DC 18 Arcana, DC 18 Nature, DC 18 Occultism, or DC 18 Religion check to attune the pieces to the orrery's magic, or a DC 18 Thievery check to modify the orrery's mechanisms to accept pieces. The number of pieces you're able to return are based on your result.

Critical Success You return 4 pieces to the orrery.

Success You return 2 pieces to the orrery.

Failure You return only 1 piece to the orrery.

Critical Failure You're unable to make any progress and return no pieces to the orrery.
