Wish Dragon (Adult)
CREATURE 14What is a wish? A wish dragon would call it the truest expression of self—each individual wish reveals something of deep importance to the wisher, and no two wishes are ever quite the same. Whether the wish is one of creation or destruction, justice or vengeance, love or hate, wish dragons seek to understand what makes it important to the wisher and view their ability to make it a reality as a gift that helps them make sense of the world.
To a wish dragon, learning what someone wishes for is the beginning of a conversation, granting them that wish is a gift, and watching what they do with it is a reward. They take each part of this journey seriously and spend much of their lives moving among other ancestries to better understand what others want and need, especially during their younger years. While they view this mission as a righteous one, it can become all-consuming, and some have been known to lose all sense of themselves in their quest to bring about the dreams and desires of those around them.
20 feet. Being near a wish dragon gives other creatures a greater sense of what they truly wish for, bolstering their sense of purpose while also distracting them from the task at hand. Creatures in the aura take a –1 status penalty to Perception but gain a +2 status bonus to Will saving throws against mental effects. The wish dragon can't gain the benefit of their own aura or other actions that use the aura, and they can choose to exclude any creatures from any benefit of the aura or action that uses the aura.
The dragon breathes a warm, gentle breeze of mist that creates the feeling of when deepest desires are achieved. As the breeze dissipates, the feeling of loss overwhelms creatures' senses, dealing 14d6 mental damage in a 40-foot cone (DC 34 Will save). A creature that critically fails its save is also consumed with the memory of the moment and is Stunned 1. The wish dragon can't use Breath of Loss again for 1d4 rounds.
The dragon makes two claw Strikes and one tail Strike in any order.
The dragon recharges Breath of Loss whenever they score a critical hit with a Strike.
Critical Success The creature disbelieves the illusion and becomes temporarily immune to Wish Come True for 1 hour.
Success The creature is unaffected.
Failure The creature is Stupefied 1 for 1 round.
Critical Failure The creature is Stupefied 2 for 1 round.
