Fiendish Hospitality

COMPLEX HAZARD 1
Stealth +7 (trained)
Description A haunting voice from the statue of a woman in servant's garb calls out to those in sight, welcoming them to stay. The statue then changes to the image of a gylou devil.

Disable DC 14 Religion (trained) to disrupt the unholy energy projecting from the statue, DC 17 Athletics to knock the statue off balance Three total successes using either skill disables the hazard.

AC 16; Fort +10, Ref +4
Hardness 5, HP 24 (BT 12); Immunities critical hits, precision

Ordered Escort (divine, mental, unholy)
Trigger A non-devil triggers or disables the slamming door hazard

Effect The statue takes on the visage of a handmaiden devil as a wave of unholy energy washes over the courtyard. Each creature in the courtyard must succeed at a DC 17 Will save or be Slowed 1 for as long as it remains in the courtyard. The trap then rolls initiative.
Handmaiden's Command (auditory, divine, mental, unholy)

The statue emits a supernaturally compelling command. Each creature in the courtyard must make a DC 17 Will save, with results below.

Success The creature is unaffected.

Failure The creature is pulled 5 feet toward the statue.

Critical Failure The creature is pulled 5 feet toward the statue and must spend the first action on its next turn making a Step toward the statue.

Melee Stony Tentacle +9 (reach 15), Damage 1d6+3 bludgeoning
Routine (two actions) For its first action, the statue uses handmaiden's command. With its second action, it makes a stony tentacle Strike at the closest target within range; if there are no targets, the trap instead uses handmaiden's command again.
Reset The statue returns to its human visage once no creatures are in the courtyard and it resets after 1d4+1 rounds. Until it resets, a creature can destroy the statue with a DC 16 Athletics check, permanently disabling the hazard.
