Disable DC 30 Society (expert) to locate the hidden deactivation switch or DC 33 Thievery (expert) to jam the mechanics on the span.

Castigate the Disrespectful

Trigger A creature moves onto the span.

Effect The mauls swing up, making an attack against the triggering creature.

Melee Mauls +25, Damage 4d10+26 bludgeoning

If struck by the Mauls strike, the target must succeed at a DC 28 Fortitude save or be knocked off the span into a pit. The target can use the Grab an Edge reaction to avoid falling.

Reset The trap resets over the course of the round and is ready to swing again 1 round later. It can be manually reset if Disabled.
