Shattered Runewell of Pride
COMPLEX HAZARD 13 +27 (expert) to realize that the shattered runewell is dangerous; noticing the hazard has a DC of 0
Plumes of magenta and violet light and vapor shift and writhe out of a hole in reality surrounded by the fragments of a runewell suspended mid-explosion.
DC 37 Arcana (master) or DC 40 Occultism (master) to redirect the magic back in on itself and cancel out the danger, or DC 40 Crafting (legendary) to reposition runewell fragments so they're not dangerous; three total successes are required to disable the shattered runewell
AC 34; Fort +29, Ref +26
Hardness 23, HP 90 (BT 45); Immunities critical hits, precision
Frightful Shriek (emotion, fear, mental)
Intruders enter the Eye of Arrogance
All of the illusory peacocks in the demiplane emit loud shrieks of anger. All intruders to the Eye of Arrogance must attempt a DC 37 Will save or become Frightened 1 (Frightened 2 on a critical failure). The shattered runewell then rolls initiative.
Melee Iridescent Fire +27 (mental), Damage 3d10+6 mental
plus the struck creature is Slowed 1 for 1 round if they fail a DC 37 Will save
Melee Black Fire +27 (void), Damage 3d10+6 void plus 2d6 acid
Melee Crimson Fire +27 (agile), Damage 3d10+6 slashing plus 2d6 bleed
(3 actions) When the shattered runewell takes its first action, a towering, 30-foot-tall image of Runelord Xanderghul formed from scintillating magenta and violet light and fire looms up from the runewell. On each of the hazard's three actions, this manifestation of Runelord Xanderghul scowls down at the PCs, and tendrils of strangely colored fire lash out of the runewell, each targeting a different PC in the area. The effects of these tendrils vary according to their color; these ranged Strikes can target anyone in the Eye of Arrogance and accrue multiple attack penalties normally.
