Thin Ice
HAZARD 8 +18 (expert)
The white-and-blue ice is less structurally sound than it looks.
DC 31 Nature or DC 31 Survival (expert) to spread out and prevent the ice from cracking further, or DC 31 Acrobatics or DC 31 Athletics (trained) to get off the ice safely as it cracks.
Crack
Two or more creatures step onto the ice in area M8
The ice beneath the party cracks. All creatures in area M8 must attempt a DC 30 Reflex save. On a failure, they fall into the freezing water, whereupon they must succeed at a basic DC 30 Fortitude save against 4d10+22 cold damage. On a critical failure, the creature must start holding their breath or risk drowning as their muscles lock and they begin to sink. A creature must spend an action to Swim to the shore and must then succeed at a DC 30 Athletics check to Climb up out of the water.
The river freezes over every night, restoring this hazard. The hazard disappears once the vernal equinox passes.
